Welcome to the web site of comedian Dave Rattigan, whose deadpan delivery and quick, dry wit has made him a favorite at clubs, corporate shows, colleges, theaters and fund-raising shows in Boston and New England.

Described as edgy enough to keep comedy fans engaged, but clean enough to work in front of corporate audiences, Rattigan has performed around the Northeast United States and in Ireland. His CD, “Dave Rattigan: Thinks He’s Funny”, has received airplay on XM-Sirius Satellite Radio and on radio stations around the world. In recent years, he's added actor to his resume with spots in regional commercials -- including a popular one for Olympia Sports and another for iParty -- and in the independent film Heavy Times.

More important than his career: he and his wife have a beautiful and brilliant 6-year-old, who likes to boss him around.

Rattigan has performed on shows with major national comedy and musical acts including Steven Wright, The Beach Boys, Bob Marley, Jeff Dunham, Nick DiPaolo, Adam Ferrara, Gary Gulman, Bill Burr and Jonathan Katz.

In addition to standup, he stays busy with a variety of endeavors. Among them:

• He is the co-producer and host of the wildly successful "How Men Think (Or Do They?)" a themed-standup show that features five comedians with distinctly different, but distinctly male, points of view. The show has played to sold out crowds in New Hampshire and Massachusetts, co-produced with Drinkwater Productions (www.drinkwaterproductions.com).
• He is an award-winning journalist whose work appears in major newspapers, websites and magazines. Some of it is serious, other pieces are quite funny.
• With Chris Mascaro and Bob Lazzari, he hosts a weekly Boston Red Sox-focused podcast that runs on the Seamheads Podcasting Network (www.seamhead.com).
• He is an adjunct faculty member at a North-of-Boston community college, teaching public speaking.
• For several years, he has been threatening to write a book. We'll believe it when we read it.
• He runs a company that specializes in first-class comedy fundraisers and private and theater shows, called Scamps Comedy Productions.
